The Minnesota Zoo
Animal Identification and Styled Illustration
As part of a design-build project at Blue Rhino Studio, I worked with educational and graphic development staff at the Minnesota Zoo to develop a style of illustration that replicates the look and feel of watercolor and ink illustration digitally, for their new graphic signage and animal identification panels. the loose lines and washes of bright color help to give the animals a more modern and energetic feel than the typical style of field illustration. My work can be seen at the Moose and Dhole exhibits on the Northern Trail, as well as the indoor Conservation Station and Tropics Trail. (©Blue Rhino Studio)
