Ancient Agriculture Mural and Diorama | Blue Rhino Studio
In the course of my work at Blue Rhino Studio, I helped to design and create this small diorama for a natural history museum in Missouri. The diorama features an early american pastoral scene and small native village, roughly 9,000 years ago, somewhere just north of the Ozark mountains. I did background research and designed this diorama to show some of what we know about early agriculture in that region, including the plant varieties and planting strategies, then the rest of our crew at BRS fabricated the foreground elements and life-size sculpture of the young girl, while I painted the background mural and directed some of the last details.
