Ohiopyle State Park, Laurel Highlands Falls Area Visitor Center | Cucumber Falls Diorama & Mural | Blue Rhino Studio
The Ohiopyle State Park Office -- Laurel Highlands Falls Area Visitor Center is an activity and information hub for this large park in southern Pennsylvania. Blue Rhino Studio and the 106 Group created a variety of diverse exhibits throughout the building to help visitors learn about wildlife and recreational opportunities in the park and region.
This piece of the exhibit highlights a well-known waterfall visitors can hike to--Cucumber Falls. The diorama was designed to include an interpretively rich dimensional foreground, with an acrylic water surface and many faux tress, tied into a digitally painted, traditionally augmented coved background mural.
